Picture of Common Crane

A noisy comeback
Almost everywhere in Europe common crane populations are flying high. Each fall almost a million roost in Hungary, Germany, Spain & France.

Why are we doing this?

It's simple really.
Millions of people think nature in Europe is pretty boring.
Others think that it has all disappeared under concrete.
Some even think Europe never had any.
Well, they've got it all wrong.

Many of Europe's magnificent natural treasures are still around, very much alive and kicking. They are there to be happily and carefully enjoyed - by us all.
We think that this is great news and reason enough to celebrate.
Even better is that at large, wildlife is coming back in Europe.
And of course, if we take care of these treasures, our kids and their kids and even their kids, will all be able to celebrate nature themselves.

Europe has a lot of wild wonders, both big and small.
Wild wonders that are part of our identity and our history.
Wild wonders that are truly part of ourselves.
Wild wonders that also offer yet another answer to the question:
What is Europe?

We want to inspire you all to fall in love with the Wild Wonders of Europe. For a future full of more wild wonders.
